Day TreatmentFramingham Day Hospital is a day treatment program for people 16 years of age and older who need more than a weekly therapy appointment but less than full hospitalization. They can attend the program daily, Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. and return to their homes at night instead of being hospitalized. People who have already been hospitalized can leave the hospital earlier by transitioning from the hospital directly into Framingham Day Hospital as a stepping stone back to the community. The program can also be used to increase an individual's ability to make constructive changes in his/her life. Members of the program form a close community and gain a great deal of support from each other as well as from the staff.

The Day Treatment program includes daily classes that touch on everyday living and the world around us. Some examples of the sessions offered are: Weekend Wrap-up, Skills & Barriers, Politics in Review, Family Issues, Life Group, Music for Everyone, Reader's Group, Creative Crafts, Anger and Depression, Healthy Lifestyle Changes, Walking Group, and Substance Abuse.
